Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Precision is a (DOT) (NHTSA) approved professional-grade alcohol screener, which utilizes a state-of-the-art semiconductor sensor to test breath alcohol content quickly and accurately. The simple one-button operation provides a digital reading in seconds. Precision also features a new air flow sensor to monitor if a sufficient air volume is exhaled while testing

Decent tester March 29, 2010 Nicolas Barriga Richards 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This tester has worked OK for me. I don't use it very often, but at the beginning I did some tests, and the values were according to what it should be for the alcohol consumption I had and my weight. Subsequent reads are very close to each other.
Deffective November 3, 2009 KBusy (Wisconsin) I purchased this device which never gave an alcohol reading, only error messages. I exchanged it for a replacement and that device gave a sensor error or would shut off during the waiting period. I would not recommend this device the two that I had were faulty.
It's ok September 11, 2009 P. Sovansky You have to wait about 5 or more minutes between each use, if you use it too fast it gives you all sorts of error messages, and continues to give you all sorts of errors. I've rarely used it over the few months I had it, and now its not working at all. I just keep blowing 0.000. I've tried resetting it. Haven't quite figured out the calibration part. It's fun and useful, but not very reliable.
Great item...pleased with results August 2, 2009 J. Rush (USA) The alcohawk Precision Digital test unit is extremely repeatable (+/- 0.01% maximum) from what I can see from the first three (3) weeks of functional testing I've subjected it to. Highly recommended.
Low quality July 4, 2009 M. J. Powell I have had this for over six months now. First of all, the suggested mouthpieces do not fit this model- I bought them and then could not return them. This takes forever to 'warm up' before you actually blow into it. Sometimes you have to turn it off and start it up again to get it working. I would most definitely pay more for a model that is in better working condition.
